Maayam Barkat Diwali Box – 7-Step Lakshmi Puja Ritual Gift Box

Pehle safai. Phir Lakshmi.

Every Indian home had one Diwali rule: Lakshmi ji gande ghar mein nahi aati. So Maa cleaned corner to corner, mopped with namak ka paani, hung kaudi on the door, and filled the house with the smell of itra, all before the first diya was lit. She wasn't just cleaning. She was sending Lakshmi ji the address.

The Maayam Barkat Diwali Box packs Maa's Diwali in 7 steps, in the order she did them. Ghar se tan tak. Darwaze se dil tak. It's made for your own 1BHK, PG or flat two cities away, and it makes a meaningful Diwali gift for family, friends and colleagues.

What's inside – 7 pieces, 7 steps

1. Small dustpan + broom (Jhaadu lagao): for the ritual Diwali safai of corners, the puja space and the main door threshold.
2. Vastu floor cleansing salt (Namak ka pocha): add a mutthi to your mopping water to cleanse what the eyes can't see.
3. Barkat salt scrub (Tan ki safai): for the pre-puja snan. The ghar is clean, now it's your turn.
4. Abundance itra (Khushboo lagao): traditional attar for your wrists, your neck, and one drop on your tijori.
5. 21-kaudi toran + bell (Darwaza sajao): hang it on the main door and ring the bell once to welcome Lakshmi ji.
6. DIY abundance potli (Potli baandho): 12 sacred items to tie with your own hands. Gomati chakra (11), shankh kauri (11), lal gunja (21), kamal gatta (9), pyrite cluster, Lakshmi yantra, Kuber kunji, citrine tree, green aventurine, success tumble, jade tumble and pyrite tumble.
7. Manifestation card (Likh do): write your wish in the present tense, fold it into the potli, and keep it closed till next Diwali.

The meaning behind it

• Jhaadu is considered a roop of Lakshmi. It sweeps out daridrata, from the inside out towards the door.
• Salt is believed in Vastu and folk tradition to absorb negative energy.
• Kaudi comes from the ocean, as Lakshmi ji did at samudra manthan, and it was once currency itself.
• Itra (gandh) is one of the offerings of puja. Lakshmi ji is said to love a fragrant, happy home.
• The potli and the card are your sankalp: what you tie, you keep.

How to use

A detailed ritual card is included, with the meaning of every item, the right sequence, and a day-wise Diwali vidhi:

• 1–2 days before Diwali: jhaadu and namak ka pocha.
• Diwali morning: salt scrub snan and itra.
• Evening: toran and bell.
• Lakshmi puja: fill the potli, write the card, and tie it.

Ghar saaf. Tan saaf. Darwaza khula. Ab aane do.

Good to know

• The scrub and itra are for external use only. Patch test before use.
• Gunja seeds are toxic if swallowed or crushed. Nothing in the box is edible. Keep the box away from children and pets.
• The meanings are based on Indian tradition, Vastu and crystal belief, and are offered as ritual and intention. They are not a guarantee of any outcome.

Shubh Deepawali. Thoo thoo thoo. (nazar na lage)
