The Hero Ingredient: Temple-Blessed Yellow Mustard Seeds

Ours don't come from a spice shop.

We source our peeli sarson from the Maa Baglamukhi Temple at Nalkheda, near Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh — the shrine devotees have travelled to for generations seeking stambhan, the stilling of negative forces.

Maa Baglamukhi is the golden goddess. Yellow is Her colour, and yellow mustard is Her seed — the one our tradition reaches for when negativity has to be stopped in its tracks, not just brushed aside.

Every batch is offered at the temple and carried home with Her blessing before it ever reaches your kit. The seeds you circle over your family's head on a Tuesday evening are the same seeds that sat at Her feet.

What's Inside

• Yellow Mustard Seeds (temple-blessed) — draws out and absorbs nazar. The traditional heart of every nazar utarna ritual.

When to Use It

Tuesdays and Saturdays — the two days our tradition has always kept for nazar utarna. Evening, after sunset, is best. The ritual takes five minutes.
